Independent contractor terms
Version 2026-10-01.
- You are an independent contractor, not an employee of the platform or any lender. The platform is a marketplace and payment facilitator that connects workers with lenders. It does not employ you, and it pays no wages or employee benefits.
- You set your own schedule, choose which leads to claim, may decline any lead and may work for others. You provide your own computer, internet connection and workspace.
- You are responsible for your own insurance, including health, disability and occupational accident coverage. The platform does not provide workers' compensation insurance for independent contractors.
- You are responsible for your own income and self-employment taxes. Payments are reported to you on a Form 1099.
- You contact borrowers only through the Board: the in-app dialer and email composer. No contact with borrowers outside the system. If you contact a borrower outside the system, the bounty for that lead is forfeited and your account may be suspended.
- Phone numbers and email addresses assigned to you belong to the lender or the platform. Borrower relationships stay with the lender.
- All calls are recorded. You must give the recording disclosure on every call.
- Practice calls and your test call are recorded and scored by AI. A lender that considers adding you to its caller roster can read the transcript and score and play the recording. A lender can decline or remove you from its roster at any time. That decision applies to that lender only.
- Business-purpose loans only. You do not quote rates or promise approvals.
- Leads are first come, first served, subject to your lead cap. Overdue follow-ups and inactivity return leads to the board, and you lose credit for them.
- The bounty is paid to whoever holds the lead when the loan funds. Payouts require a completed W-9 and bank account through Stripe.
- You follow all calling-hour rules, do-not-contact requests, and unsubscribe requests.
